MAPO TOFU

Mapo tofu is one of the top ten famous Chinese dishes and enjoys a high popularity among not only Chinese people but also many western countries.

Ingredients
300 g tokwa/tofu
2 Tbsp oil, for sautéing
1 Tbsp garlic, minced
2/3 cup onion, chopped
250 g chicken, ground
1 pouch Tomato Sauce (250g)
4 Tbsp soy sauce
1/2 cup tenga ng daga, soaked in water then sliced
2 1/2 pc siling labuyo, sliced
1 1/4 Tbsp sugar, white
1/3 cup water
Preparation
1. Dice tofu and set aside.
2. Sauté garlic, onion, and chicken in oil. Add Sauce and the rest of the ingredients. Cover and simmer
for 3 minutes.
3. Add tofu and stir gently to blend with the meat mixture. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
