Lechon Kawali is a popular Filipino dish made with pork belly simmered until tender and then deep-fried until golden and crisp. With crunchy skin and super moist meat, every morsel is pork heaven!

INGREDIENTS

1PC. ONION

6 CLOVES GARLIC

1 TBSP.SHRIMP PASTE

60 GRAMS  SNOW PEAS

60 GRAMS GREEN BEANS

250 GRAMS PUMPKIN

60 GRAMS TOFU,FRIED

500 GRAMS PORK BELLY

LEMON GRASS

1 TBSP WHOLE PEPPERCORNS

1 CUP COCONUT MILK

1 PACK SINIGANG MIX 20 G.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

 

 

 

SAUTE ONION, GARLIC AND KALABASA.

 

 

 

CONTINUE SAUTE UNTIL BROWNED.

 

 

 

ADD IN WATER,SHRIMP PASTE AND COCONUT MILK LET IT SIMMER.

 

 

 

WHILE SIMMERING ADD IN SNOW PEAS. SIMMER FOR 3 MINS.

 

 

 

THEN ADD IN STRING BEANS

 

 

 

LET IT SIMMER UNTIL SAUCE THICKENS AND VEGETABLES ARE FULLY COOKED.SET ASIDE,THIS WILL BE SERVED AS A SIDE DISH.

 

 

BOIL PORK IN WATER TOGETHER WITH PEPPERCORN,TANGLAD/LEMON GRASS SALT AND PEPPER.BOIL UNTIL PORK TENDERS.THEN DRAIN TO PREP FOR FRYING.

 

 

PRE HEAT OIL BEFORE FRYING. FRY PORK LIEMPO UNTIL GOLDEN BROWNED.
