Filipinos learned this recipe from Spaniards since Philippines has been their colony for 400 years. Like other countries and cultures, Filipinos also learned to use methods to preserve food and using acid in vinegar and salt in soy sauce , makes it more known to many people.

 

INGREDIENTS

2 TBSP. VEGETABLE OIL

3 TBSP. GARLIC,CRUSHED

½ KG. CHICKEN,CUT INTO SERVING PIECES

1 ½ PORK RIBS,CUT INTO  3 INCH CUBES

¼ CUP SOY SAUCE

½ CUP WATER

½ CUP VINEGAR

1 PC LAUREL LEAF

5 TBSP. BROWN SUGAR

4 PCS. ONION,MINCED

1 TSP. WHOLE BLACK PEPPER

 

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

 

SAUTE GARLIC AND ONION , IN THE SAME PAN FRY CHICKEN AND PORK MEAT.

 

 

 

IN A BOWL MIX SOY SAUCE,VINEGAR ,SUGAR WATER AND LAUREL LEAF. THEN POUR THE MIXTURE IN THE FRYING PAN.

 

 

 

SIMMER UNTIL THE SAUCE THICKENS .

 

 

SERVE WITH RICE.
