THIS RECIPE IS SIMPLE BUT FLAVORFUL DISH FOR THE FAMILY.IT HAS THE NATURAL TASTE OF CHICKEN AND PAPAYA THAT FILIPINO LOVE TO EAT ON THEIR MEAL.

INGREDIENTS:

½ CUP MANTIKA

2PCS.ONION,CHOPPED

6 CLOVES GARLIC,CHOPPED

3INCH GARLIC,SLICED THINLY

1 KG. CHICKEN CUT INTO SERVING PIECES

2 TBSP. PATIS

2 CUPS RICE

3 CUPS WATER

1 PC. UNRIPED GREEN PAPAYA,CUT INTO WEDGES

½ CUP DAHON NG SILI

 

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

 

 

IN A PAELLERA PAN , SAUTE ONION,GARLIC,GINGER AND CHICKEN. UNTIL BROWN.

 

 

 

SET ASIDE CHICKEN.

 

 

 

IN THE SAME PAN ADD IN LONG GRAIN RICE,MIX UNTIL COVERED BY OIL.

 

 

 

ADD WATER AND LET IT BOIL.

 

 

 

WHILE BOILING RETURN THE CHICKEN WE SET ASIDE,ADD ALSO PAPAYA,PATIS AND CHILI LEAVES.

 

 

AND NOW WE WILL COVER IT WITH ALUMINUM FOIL 20-30 MINS OVER MEDIUM HEAT. OR UNTIL THE RICE IS FULLY COOKED.

 

 

YOU WILL KNOW ITS FULLY COOKED,WHEN IT HAS TOASTED CRUST IN THE BOTTOM OF THE PAELLERA . SERVE AND ENJOY THIS SIMPLE PAELLA.
